Parents
Supporting Learning at Home
At Red Lane Primary School we passionately believe in a strong positive partnership between home and school. Parental support in learning at home plays a crucial role in a child’s educational development. When parents actively engage as partners in their child's learning journey, it reinforces what is taught in school and builds a strong foundation for lifelong learning. This support not only boosts academic achievement but also enhances motivation, confidence, and a positive attitude towards education. By creating a learning-friendly environment, offering encouragement, and showing interest in school activities, parents help bridge the gap between home and school, fostering a collaborative approach that benefits the child’s overall growth and success.
We believe that good communication between parents/carers and school is vital for our children to achieve their very best. Each term we hold parent conference sessions where parents can find out more about their child’s learning and progress and how they can support this at home. Our regular classroom visits and parent workshops offer additional opportunities for parents to be involved in supporting learning.
